Classroom Resources

The NRL offer a range of classroom resources for Teachers to implement into their classroom activities. Please see below a number of classroom resources for Teachers:

The National Rugby League, through the One Community Program, has introduced a series of Rugby League Reads initiatives to highlight the importance of reading. Our Rugby League Reads program, is engaging primary students in reading and breaking down stereotypes that sport stars, especially Rugby League players, do not need or like to read.

Dream Believe Achieve is a Rugby League aspiration program and teaching resource that guides and encourages High School students to define their ambitions and career goals. Students are encouraged to build healthy lifestyles and find positive ways to discover and achieve their dreams.

The program is suitable for the High School curriculum in Personal Development and Health and includes a DVD with an accompanying Teacher Resource disc.

The new innovative NRL’s Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well engages and encourages primary school aged students to build healthy lifestyles and make positive choices.

The interactive website creates a virtual world for students to explore and learn, with all of the modules specifically developed and designed to link to the current Australian curriculum outcomes. The activities are designed to provide opportunities for knowledge and understanding to be displayed with teachers being able to monitor their class’s progression and individual student progress.

The website can be utilised in the classroom and at home.

At the Learning with League Centre, students will have the opportunity to participate in activities with a focus on Literacy, Personal Development and Health and PBL. Students will engage in these activities to coincide with general positive characteristics of Rugby League including teamwork, support, encouragement, healthy lifestyles and determination.

NRL’s One Community has developed a powerful new ‘Tackle Bullying’ DVD which aims to empower students to stand up for themselves and others who are being bullied. The DVD features NRL Legends Andrew Ryan, Nathan Hindmarsh, Hazem El Masri and Mario Fenech who all inspire students to take action.
